To keep your Flowcup squeaky clean, best practice is to wash and sterilise at least once daily during your period.
How to sterilise your Flowcup
Place your washed Flowcup inside the sterilising cup.
Cover with water until 3/4 full
Put the lid on without closing completely and place in the microwave for 3-5 minutes
Be careful when taking the sterilising cup out of the microwave, as it will be very hot. Wait until the water has cooled a bit before removing your Flowcup.
Another method that can be used for cleaning is to simply place your clean menstrual cup inside the sterilising cup, cover with boiling water (and a tsp of Orange & Lavender Powdered Cleanser - optional), place the lid on and leave for 20 mins. Rinse thoroughly before reinsertion.
